China Design Centre (CDC)
Dell began computer-related design work in July 2000 to drive product development covering new system platform, peripherals, software and service offerings to meet specific customer and market requirements.
In July 2002, Dell enhanced desktop design and development activities with the location of the CDC in Shanghai to support the company's customer-focused, global technology initiatives.
In March 2006, Dell announced to expand the center by adding 200 new jobs within the year to enhance its global product development capacity.
