Volvo Powertrain (VPT)

Volvo Powertrain is the Volvo Group Strategic Center for powertrain issues. The scope covers complete powertrain systems, components such as engines, transmissions and driven axles. That includes development, manufacturing, sourcing, partnership and installation service along with support in close co-operation with the customers. Volvo Powertrain has operations in Sweden, France and North- and South America. The Business Unit incorporates powertrain development and manufacturing activities representing approximately 8.500 employees around the world.

Volvo 3P

Volvo 3P is a business unit within the Volvo Group. It is responsible for product planning, product development, purchasing and product range management for the three truck companies, Mack, Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks. The unit is driven by the processoriented system, Business Management System (BMS). A preliminary recommendation, an ISO Lloyd’s Registered Quality assurance (LRQA) certification has recently been given to recommend Volvo 3P for the global ISO certification.

Volvo Logistics

Volvo Logistics designs, handles and develops business logistics systems for the automotive and aviation industries worldwide. We have been a leading player in supply chain management, logistics and global transportation for over 20 years. We provide the following services: Inbound logistics: cargo transportation, warehousing, sub-assembly and sequence delivery into plants. Outbound logistics: distribution of finished vehicles from the plant to the final customer. Emballage: design and rental of complete packaging systems for components.

We are represented in Europe, North and South America and Asia, close to customers' largest plants or logistic hubs. Our customer base includes the Volvo Group companies, Premier Automotive Group (including Volvo Car Corporation), Renault and Boeing.

Volvo NAP ( Non-Automotive Purchasing )

Volvo Group NAP (Non-Automotive Purchasing) is a global purchasing organization in the Volvo Group, sourcing goods and services which are not directly part of the final Volvo Group products. We are 220 purchasing professionals located close to our customers, currently in 14 countries and at 32 sites. Volvo Group NAP purchases high-quality, not directly product-related commodities and services for our customers at the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO).
