西子奥的斯电梯有限公司是美国联合技术公司（United Technology Cooperation）在华控股比例最高的合资子公司之一。UTC2005年位列《财富》杂志世界500强第120位，是最影响道琼斯工业指数的30家工业公司之一。UTC为全球航空、航天和建筑业提供高技术的产品和服务，其下属各子公司都是各自业界翘楚，包括普惠发动机公司、开利公司、奥的斯电梯公司、西科斯基飞机公司、汉胜公司。
OTIS拥有150多年的悠久历史，是世界上首台安全电梯的发明者之一，也是世界上最大的电梯公司之一，销售和服务遍及220多个国家，在世界2，000个地点设有服务网，每年销售约65，000部电梯及自动扶梯。在世界上最高的20座建筑物中有12座使用奥的斯电梯。迄今为止，全球共有逾1，500，000台奥的斯电梯及自动扶梯处于运行之中，每三天移动一次相当于全世界的人口。
1997年，UTC和OTIS来到杭州，与西子电梯集团合资建立了西子奥的斯电梯有限公司。合资9年来，订单以年均50%的惊人速度增长，被誉为“业内的神话”。目前，西子奥的斯已经成为中国最大的电梯和自动扶梯生产基地之一，扶梯订单及发货台量雄居中国电梯行业前列，公司总资产逾16亿元人民币，员工2000人。公司连续被评为奥的斯亚太区营运业绩最佳公司和浙江省重点高新技术企业、省外商投资技术先进企业。

Xizi Otis Elevator Company was founded on March 12, 1997 in Hang Zhou. Xizi Otis has received numerous rewards due to its significant contribution to local government and OTIS. Being the most successful model in joint venture management, starting from 2005, Xizi Otis was upgraded to be a direct report of Otis NAPA as an independent brand and independent entity.
At present, Xizi Otis has more than 2,000 employees with total asset of RMB1.6 billion. As one of the biggest Elevator & Escalator suppliers in China, its annual production capacity is over 10,000 units per year. Its sales network covers all over the China with 13 regional offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Shengyang, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Chengdu, Xi’an, Wuhan, and Nanning as well.
