Department Description
3GSM Test Command Development
This group is responsible for all phases of the Test Command software development in a product life cycle for controlling all Motorola 3GSM cellular telephones. Specifically, this group has responsibility for: initial integration of new architectures, factory interfaces, and feature development, as it relates to test commands, to support new 3GSM products.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Lead a team in the design and development of 3GSM test commands to be used in development, field test, manufacturing, and distribution.
Lead in the design of new software architecture for various platform products
Assign team members to specific tasks based on a set of priorities.
Work closely with hardware designers and component vendors
Hold detailed design/schematic reviews to assess impact to Test Command requirements
Coordinate multisite development effort as necessary
Create development schedules based on supportable data/dependencies
Provide clear concise status reports for upper management on a regular basis.
Provide support as issues occur in development and manufacturing.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Computer skills:
• Languages: C/C++, HTML
• Concepts: Unix/Linux/Symbian OS(Unix should be a must and Linux/Symbian would be a plus), interrupt handlers, IPC, threads, etc
GSM/UMTS cellular communications and cellular handset design
• Tools: debuggers, simulators, and logic analyzers highly desired
ClearCase, DDTS, and general CM tools required
Experience with C/C++, debuggers, simulators, and logic analyzers highly desired
Candidate must be a highly motivated leader with experience in embedded software development.
In addition, this position requires strong problem solving, communication, teamwork skills.
Strong Oral and Written skills in English required
Previous experience in developing SW for cellular telephones a plus.

2- Senior embedded software system engineer or architect(1 E09)
Department Description
LJ Seamless Mobility Team is working on MDS Linux-Java platform.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Will work as a software develop engineer working on LJ platform performance.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
#1 Have at least 6 years embedded system software and 3 years linux kernel working experience
#2 Have at least 3 years mobile phone software working experience, be familiar with mobile phone architecture and internal modules design
#3 Be familiar with embedded system performance debug and tuning
#4 Be familiar with ARM assemble, C and C++
#5 Good communication with Chinese and English, good team work and coordination
#6 Master or PhD degree is preferred
