摩托罗拉公司于1987年进入中国，首先在北京设立办事处，于1992年在天津注册成立摩托罗拉（中国）电子有限公司，目前主要产品有手机、对讲机、无线通信设备等，产品销售到中国和世界其他市场。
目前，在中国大陆有1家控股公司、3家独资公司、5家合资企业、16个研发中心和25家分公司，员工10,000多人。截止2005年12月底，摩托罗拉公司在中国投资总额约为36亿美元，是中国最大的外商投资企业之一。 其中，研发投入超过6亿美元。

Motorola in China
Motorola came to China in 1987 when it opened a representative office in Beijing. In 1992, Motorola (China) Electronics Ltd. was established in Tianjin, a major manufacturing base where Motorola produces mobile phones, two-way radios, wireless communications equipment for the Chinese and global markets.
The goal of Motorola’s China strategy is to build China into world-class production and R&D bases. While pursuing and maintaining market leadership in both mobile devices and infrastructure equipment, Motorola continues to develop businesses in digital trunking, broadband products, solutions and services.
