After 4 years as the innovative R&D center of Cellon International, based in Le Mans (France), Wiz4com spun off from its mother company to make it on its own.
Wiz4com has close to 260 professional staff worldwide and established mobile phone design & development centers and sales offices in Europe & Asia. Over 25 million wireless handsets based on our designs have been shipped to date all over the world and distributed through both Operator and Retail channels, carrying major global and regional brands such as Philips, Siemens, TCL & Alcatel, Gradiente and Haier.
Wiz4com provides end to end solutions for wireless handsets and related technologies, from the product definition stage to the product End of Life. The company not only designs and develops mobile phones, but also manages supply chain, new product introduction, after sales support, field test and certification.
Wiz4com is also an independent Testing House, providing testing services to other players in the industry. The Laboratory is accredited with ISO 17025 Certification, the highest level of certification for testing facilities, covering the RTTE directive for the GSM Test Lab and the TS51-010 requirement for the GCF-CC.
The company has established strategic relationships with leading technology players and third-party software developers and is in advanced development of EDGE and 3G products.
Anticipating the market trend, the company is currently developing a mobile telephony software suite on top of Linux and Linux compatible solutions, intended for OEMs and Chipset vendors. A key competitive advantage is that Wiz4com can rely on a long experience in designing and industrializing mobile handsets to promote the quality and industrial strength of its mobile telephony software suite. The company own handset business is its first customer and industrially proves its software.
During the spin-off transition the company has continued to make deals and release products. New clients have been added to its portfolio. Wiz4com has already set-up a new R&D center in China; the official opening ceremony will take place just after Chinese New year.
The company ended up FY 2005 being Net Income and Cash Flow positive thus achieving a two year consecutive profitable business.
