Summary:
The Sales Planner role has primary responsibility to develop an integrated demand plan. The Sales Planner will work closely with the commercial leadership team to develop a rolling 18-month planning horizon at an aggregate product family level. This role will have responsibility in driving overall communication and coordination for the compilation and consensus of the demand plans.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demand Planning Focused:
Manage Sales/demand planning initiatives
Work closely with commercial leadership to compile and manage integrated sales/demand plans
Facilitate sales/demand planning meetings
Act as lead communicator, across business functions, regarding sales/demand plans; lead coordination efforts with operations, finance, customer service, etc.
Support product life cycle management as it relates to sales/demand plans
Assist with financial analysis and integration to quantify sales, margins, etc.
Routinely perform root cause analysis to drive forecast quality improvements
Develop, track and implement forecast quality improvement plans
Gather and report necessary Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics
Act as the Demand Solutions (DS) super-user for forecast management: business and IT liaison
Defining process requirements, including software and reporting implementations
Routinely maintain Demand Solutions’ system data
Lead or support additional analysis as needed

Strong background in forecasting and planning
Excellent analytical skills
Application of statistical analysis
Knowledge of supply chain
Financial analysis abilities
Effective communication skills, including verbal and presentation skills
Ability to work across organizational boundaries and levels; team-oriented
Experience in project management or software implementations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE SOUGHT:
BS in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related experience
MBA preferred
At least 2 - 5 years of forecasting and planning experience
Knowledge of Demand Solutions & SAP preferred
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) |
