Requirements:
- Hold a degree of mechanical engineer or similar through working experience
- Have 3-5 years working experience with similar job position within an industrial environment
- previous experience in heavy industry (steel construction, power generation, Oil & Gas,..) is required.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
- Good knowledge of Autocad
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access
- Understanding of rotary machinery and air filter is an asset
- Good communication skills and be flexible
- Able to understand and adapt to other cultures and habits
- Able to work under stress
- Be a self-starter; much is expected of this individual and a lot of freedom given. Taking initiative is key.
- Be sales results-oriented
Responsibilities:
- Upon receipt of customer specification, review their content and identify the most appropriate air intake system from Donaldson standard product range.
- As required to comply with customer specifications, identify the required options.
- Issue a list of exceptions on customer specification, if any.
- Based on customer requirements an site conditions, select the correct filter systems and size it in accordance with Donaldson guidelines.
- Suggest the best possible technical solutions to the clients' inquires
- Ensure a design control function on the quoted products
- Issue the most competitive costing for the selected air intake system with its options and services, if any.
- Communicate with contract managers in Asia Pacific and application team of head office in the USA and Europe in order to receive competitive pricing for the manufacturing of our products.
- Prepare a project price list based on costing and gross margin target indicated by the GTS APAC director.
- Issued technical description for the offered products.
- Assist sales with technical discussions and follow up (join customer visits if needed)
- Draft proposal drawing of the offered scope of supply using Autocad.
- At competition of each project, compare actual costs with estimated costs. Identify discrepancies and detail causes.
- Maintain a data base of product costs by consolidating projects costs and quotations from vendors.
