Sat June 4: Iattended the opening of the Community Energy 4Goulburn,1MW Community Solar Farm. All outdoor activities cancelled due to inclement weather. TeamAoife conducted phone banking.Sun June 5: I presented at the Australian Conservation Foundation’s World Environment Day eventin Picton. I departed Picton at 1.30pm to swelling brown water in the gutters. The banks of the Nepean later broke around 4.30pm. I spent the evening contacting friends in Picton and posting flood warning and road closure information to my facebook page.Mon June 6: I attended Picton, spoke with friends and business owners including Robert Khan of the IGA, surveyed the street and attended St Marks Anglican church for a tour of the damage to the church, cemetary and Sunday school.Tue June 7: Phone interview with Macarthur radio’s C91.3 about the Picton storm damage. I thenattended, in Picton,a Wollongong Catholic Education Office event on Pope Francis’ encyclical ‘Laudato Si’ addressing the Biblicalobligation to care fortheenvironment. I then toured St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School in Picton with Bishop Peter Ingham, Father John Ho and Sister Julie of the adjoining convent. The School, church and convent were inundated and damaged.I heard how theCEO had made arrangements to shuttle the children and teachers to Our Lady Help of Christians in Rosemeadow (Macarthur electorate)to carry out the remainder of the term on campus there. I also revisited business owners in Picton. TeamAoife branch members helped with clean up in Picton. TeamAoife phone bankingWed June 8: Phone interview with C91.3re: arrangements for the St Anthony’s Primary students to be shuttled to Rosemeadow.I held a street stall at Tahmoor train Station. Phone interview with ABC Central West Radio. I then returned to Picton and revisited business owners.Thurs June 9: I attended to emails and correspondence from members of the electorate. TeamAoife doorknocking and phone banking.In the evening Iwas a panellist at the Bundanoon Community Association’sforum for Hume candidates.Fri June 10:I held astation streetstall, thenhad my car serviced as I have travelled almost 9000km around the electorate in7 weeks!
